Test Name:
Dexamethasone suppression test, 1 milligram (overnight, low-dose)
Testing Prerequisites:
Day 1:     Patient Preparation            
•  At 2300 h (11:00 PM) the patient must take 1 mg dexamethasone orally.
•  Dexamethasone is provided by the Physician

Collection Instructions:
 Day 2:         
•  Collect AM cortisol between 0800 and 1000 h
•  Collect PM cortisol 8 hours later - if requested by ordering Physician

 •  The ordering provider may request additional serum cortisol collections
