Rectal Swab Collection Instructions- Pre-moisten the swab with transport mecia
- Pass the tip of the swab approximately 2 cm beyond the anal sphincter
- Carefully rotate the swab to sample anal crypts. Fecal matter should be visible on the swab
- Carefully replace the swab in the collection device, without contaminating it
