  • Note:
    - Peak Schistosoma egg excretion occurs between 1200-1500 hours

    Collection Device/Tube Type:
    Sterile 60 mL plastic container (orange-top).
    Collection Instructions:

    1.

    Collect last portion of urine voided between 1200-1500 hr in sterile 60 mL container

    2.

    Do not add formalin

    3.

    Close lid tightly

    4.

    Wash hands – follow infection control protocol

    Submit sample as soon as possible
    Urine must be received in the laboratory within 24 hours of collection
